strategies i learned are to be patient and calm during a debate, also to really pay attention to the opposing argument so you are able to counter their comments and build off of what they say. also i learned that putting research and implementing facts can be extremely important to winning your argument with the additional facts. I think at some times i did well but other times there was plenty of room for improvement such as planning my counter argument with ethos, pathos, and logos mostly where facts and perhaps denoting the others comments, no necessarily just to denote but when they have a false comment or an irrelevant one it can be beneficial to exploit to show you are paying attention to them and that you know your stuff. when i came to the mini debates it was tough because the topic was given on the spot so it was tough to mentally prepare and also to gather facts you can implement in your argument
